Relevancy and Student Engagement LIMITED

Our students often ask us, "why are we learning this?" This session aims to help teachers develop strategies to tie learning to relevancy for students. The session will guide teachers through developing connection to their Social Studies content (SOL standards/framework) to current events, local issues, personal economics, and general life skills and experiences. At the end of the presentation, teachers will have collaborative time to begin developing ideas for lesson planning for the upcoming school year. The session will also make connections to AI tools, specifically Magic School.
