Everything is Awesome! Leveraging Lego Spike Essential Kits to Increase Student Engagement LIMITED

Have you seen the LEGO Essential kits being shipped around your school to different classrooms and wondered, "What are they doing with those?" OR "Who do I need to talk to in order to get my hands on these LEGOs?" Well, you are in luck! By participating in this 2 hour session, not only will you experience grade level curriculum integrations with the Elementary STEM cart and Essential kits, but you will also learn how they work from start to finish, including tips and tricks when creating an activity, connecting it to SOLs, and the opportunity to build, code, and engage in a student-centered activity.  Using LEGO in the class not only makes you the coolest teacher ever, but also gives your students opportunities to collaborate, communicate, connect, and create! If you are looking to create memorable curriculum-connected activities, then this session is for you!

Note: This is a two-hour session.
